Plan quantities by style and colour.
Our typical minimum is 300 pieces per style per colour, usually across around four sizes. Orders commonly range from around 300 to 10,000 pieces. Yarn, construction and the size breakdown are reviewed before confirming the requirements for a particular style.
Give a separate quantity for every style and colour. Then add the planned size distribution. A collection total on its own does not tell us how many pieces of each garment are required.
For a matching set, identify each component and explain whether your quantity means individual pieces or complete sets. The final counting and packing arrangement should be agreed in the quotation—not assumed from a product image.

Quantity example: count each colour separately
For one illustrative style, S50 + M100 + L100 + XL50 = 300 pieces in one colour. A second colour with the same breakdown is another 300 pieces, making 600 pieces for that style.
| Style / colour | S | M | L | XL | Colour subtotal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EX-001 / ivory | 50 | 100 | 100 | 50 | 300 |
| EX-001 / slate | 50 | 100 | 100 | 50 | 300 |
| Same style, both colours | 100 | 200 | 200 | 100 | 600 |
This explains the quantity logic only. It is not a fixed size ratio, a quotation or an order acceptance. The usual starting point is around 300 pieces per style per colour, across approximately four sizes, subject to the actual garment. A mixed-colour total of 300 is not the same as 300 in each colour.
Give each additional style its own rows. Include these rows in the copyable tech pack brief; review yarn availability, sizing and feasibility with Development before confirming an order.
Allow for sample review as well as making time.
A standard style typically takes around one week to sample. International courier transit is additional and depends on the destination and service. Revisions, special requirements and the approved development scope can change the working schedule.
For standard styles, we charge a USD50 basic sample fee, credited against the corresponding bulk order after the order is placed. Complex styles are reviewed separately. This is a development arrangement, not a promise that every sample or courier shipment is free.
Review measurements, fit, construction, colour and finishing against the brief. Consolidate comments into one versioned change list. Bulk production follows the approved sample and agreed specifications.
Bring labels and packing into the plan early.
Private label development includes more than placing a logo on a finished garment. Prepare brand and size label artwork, approved care wording, placement, dimensions, attachment requirements and hangtag information.
Explain folding, protective packaging, identification, assortments and carton requirements. If testing or documentation is required for your market, describe the specific requirement so it can be reviewed; do not assume that an image or a general description proves compliance.
A useful first brief is short, but specific.
- Style reference or tech pack, with changes clearly marked.
- Yarn, colour, construction and intended fit.
- Pieces per style and colour, plus sizes.
- Target price and required delivery date.
- Brand labels, presentation and packing needs.
- A shared reference link or sample details.
Contract arrangements can be discussed with our business, finance and legal support teams. Agree the product, quantities, commercial conditions and approval points before committing to production.
