Materials / yarn matching
Bring the composition, colour or physical reference you want to match. Our own yarn company and stocked warehouse support the search, then we review the proposed yarn and knit structure with you.
Explore yarn matching โYour reference / our material support
Start with a market yarn you want to match, a target fibre percentage or a special composition for your brand. We review sourcing and matching options around the composition, count, colour, surface and hand feel.

Special composition
Tell us the required fibre percentages and how the garment should feel and behave. Custom blends, yarn-specific minimums and timing are discussed for your project.
Regular fibres
These are among the regular fibre types we work with. Confirm the article, quantity, colour and stock position for your actual order.

An own yarn company
Our yarn company and stock support help us explore the composition you have in mind, from familiar fibres to a specific blend direction.
Review the material and colour through a physical swatch. Composition is one part of the match; count, structure and finishing also shape the final garment.
Discuss a yarn reference โ
Stock / sourcing support
We have a well-stocked yarn warehouse supporting material preparation. Cotton, polyester and nylon are regular starting points; other compositions can be discussed against your brief.
Share planned garment quantities early so yarn availability and any sourcing conditions can be reviewed together.

Structure / agree the behaviour
Compare a plain, rib, cable or openwork direction against the intended garment. Review stretch, recovery, coverage, texture scale and how the structure affects the silhouette.
Confirm the knitting gauge and yarn combination through development rather than assigning a gauge from an image.
Swatch review / practical checklist
| Material direction | Fibre specification, yarn reference, colour standard and required documents. |
|---|---|
| Construction | Stitch direction, texture scale, gauge to review and planned garment use. |
| Appearance | Colour under an agreed light, coverage, pattern placement and edge character. |
| Behaviour | Hand feel, weight, stretch, recovery and any agreed care or testing requirements. |
Review a physical swatch and the garment sample together. A pleasing texture can behave differently once it becomes a full garment.

From panel / to product
Identify the chosen material and structure in the sample brief. Record what was approved so a revision does not quietly change the fabric direction.
Send the yarn or fabric reference and explain the feel, coverage and garment use you have in mind.
