Identify the current reference
Identify the approved garment, size chart, material reference and latest revision record. If approvals are conditional, keep the outstanding points visible.
Do not mix a previous sample photograph with a newer measurement chart without explaining the difference. Everyone reviewing the product should understand which reference applies to each check.
Review material and appearance
Include the agreed colour, knitted structure, surface and finish. Specify the reference used for each comparison and describe any product-specific appearance points that need attention.
If a composition, certification or performance claim is required, agree the appropriate documentation or testing separately. A visual inspection or an AI illustration cannot establish that evidence.

Agree dimensions and workmanship
Use the defined points of measure and agreed tolerances. Include relevant seams, linking, openings, trims, pockets and other details shown in the product brief.
State how observations are recorded and who reviews questions. A list of headings such as “fit” and “workmanship” is less useful than a set of clearly described product checks.
Define final packing and release checks
Connect garment checks with label, assortment and packing instructions. Confirm how a reviewed product is identified and how unresolved issues are handled before release.
Agree inspection scope and acceptance requirements with the project team. Do not infer a testing standard, sampling plan or guaranteed outcome from a generic checklist published online.
Before you send the brief
- Current approved references identified
- Appearance and material checks described
- Measurements and workmanship points defined
- Packing and release responsibilities clear
Blank approved-sample review record
Use this to connect each check to an actual approved reference. It is a working record, not a certification, laboratory report, acceptance sampling plan or claim that an inspection has passed.

Agree applicable methods, tolerances and release responsibilities for the actual order. Do not treat an empty cell or this template as an agreed AQL, shrinkage limit, test grade or permission to ship.
See Factory & Quality for the production context. Keep agreed changes in the current project brief, not across unversioned messages.
